About the Work

This work unfolds through a pared-back, restrained form. Its vertical structures gather around an open centre, suggesting both a vessel and a living organism. The upward-reaching forms convey growth and boundless possibility, while the lower part of the sculpture suggests a movement of rooting downward—an act of grounding, returning, and drawing strength from within.

The work suggests that true development in the material world requires a deeper rooting in the spiritual world. The upward and downward movements form a delicate balance: growth reaches outward and upward, while the spirit sinks inward and downward to find its foundation. In this quiet tension between rising and rooting, the sculpture becomes a meditation on origin, growth, and inner stability.
